Classical music, contemporary music, experimental music, performing arts... since 2000 mutesouvenir documents concerts and rehearsals, photographs composers, conductors and musicians on location. Specialized in the Berlin scene and its international guests, an archive with the big names of the last two decades was created: Composers like KH Stockhausen, P. Boulez, O. Neuwirth or Mauricio Kagel. Here you will find photographic material of well-known players and shooting stars of the music world: Anne-Sophie Mutter, Mariss Jansons, Gustavo Dudamel, Alondra de la Parra, Camaron Carpenter, Georges Aperghis, György Kurtag, Teodor Currentzis and Alfred Brendel. One focus of the photographic work was on performances and portraits of the American avant-garde: Robert Ashley, Christian Wolff, Fred Frith, Steve Reich, Michael Nyman or Alvin Lucier. Last, but not least, we offer motifs of the manifold varieties of the human voice - in chorus or solo, energetically charged or internalized. A colorful portfolio from the current avant-garde with experimental and/or scientific approaches to diverse performance practices of classical music in the concert halls of Berlin, China and Brazil. Via the Place mutesouvenir you have access to a special archive, which covers the scene in a rarely large extent and high qualitative level and is permanently extended. On the page www.mutesouvenir.com you will find a portfolio with the top 100 of the archive.
